For a person holding a 10-year multiple entry B1/B2 visa, how long can they stay for each visit. Is it determined at the port of entry by the officer? or is there a standard like 30 days or something per visit? I know parents visiting can stay for max of 6 months. Can they travel across to canada and then reenter for another 6 months? Just curious.

Looks like the EB2 dates for india have retrogressed by two years. I am applying for green card and would like to know if I shouls go with EB2 or EB3.

I dont think its as simple as choosing between EB2 or EB3. It would depend on your job description and which category the job qualifies for. Not all jobs would qualify for EB2. You should consult an immigration attorney to discuss your case.

I have one more question, please advise.
now what if I apply for F1 visa and it get approve say 2 months before her actual class start date. as soon her F1 will get approve she will be on F1 status , so is there any problem she stay on F1 for some period before her actual class start.
for example her actual class will start from 1st of August 2011 and we apply for her F1 on 1st may and it get approve by 15th May and from the approval date of F1 (15th May) she will be on F1 status. but as said actual class will start from 1st Aug 2011, so is there any problem or illegal if she stay on F1 from 15th May 2011 TO 31st July 2011 (75 days) on F1 without her actual class starts ?
My wife already have H4 extension which is valid until 2013.

IV is presently focussing on the comprehensive immigration reform bill, but if you present your case here we'll see if and what can be done.

MY intention was not to make this India Specific, but to bring to light the lobbying effort....Although the Bill is not passed....it is silently being pushed. The Immigration reform and SKILL is being touted and shouted abt so much, that it becomes a scare for congressmen to even touch it, let alone pass it.

It seems that USCIS posted new versions of I765 dated (07/30/2007)N.
Looks like it is a required form and older versions are not accepted....!!!!!

485 stage itself is called 'adjustment of status'. so using EAD or AP , takes u out of nonimmigrant status, and brings u into a intermediate status - thats why they write AOS/parolee on i94 if u use AP. . i dont think u become an "immigrant" untill ur 485/gc is approved.

have a US visa stamped and has not expired, they will not let you board a plane to UK.
If you have GC, then there is no need for transit visa. If you are on AP, then you will need transit visa.
I think in the 50s and 60s, an Indian passport holder could enter the UK based on holding a commonwealth passport. Wonder why that policy changed? ;)

Hi Kitiara,
I get asked to make quite a few banners for different companies and through trial and error I have found that once you have created your images in photoshop and saved them at the lowest file size as possible without losing any quality, open the images up in fireworks and create the animation there using frames as I find fireworks optimises gifs muchbetter than photoshop,
(And believe me it hurts me to say that as i'm a big photoshop fan).
I'm sure your aware also that the more frames you use the bigger the file size is going to be so its always best to use the least ammount of frames needed and adjust the frame speed of each frame to get the required effect.
By the way I love looking at the images you create when you post them do you have a tutorial website where I could create one for my nickname of The Bandit:bandit:

As both your I 140 are approved, I do not see any major problem. any wasy you are planning to use AC21. Why dont you use your attorney, in that way you can feel secure. If I 140 approved + 180 days from receipt date you should be fine.
But I would advice you to take any expert opinion. But use your own lawyer and I believe you will do fine

I am not getting any appointment in June with any doctor within 60 miles from my place. So I took an appointment with a doc 70+ miles away for end of june. The only problem is I need to go twice 70 miles one way. The clinic suggested I do the blood work in nearby county clinic, but the county clinic wants 7-10 days to get results of blood work. I asked them for HIV and Sephallius test to be done. I already got TB Skin test(tested negative) done at county clinic.
Can someone please tell what all blood tests need to be done, so I can check if any other doctor can do the blood work and I can save one 70 mile trip . Thanks.

Yes for new applicants it's wonderful. For old applicants it's double the money and double the time (to get GC counting time from the first time they applied for GC ) or even more time than the new applicants.

what about if i140 is denied on the previous labor and one cannot use that labor any more.

Hello My current Consultancy is not paying me well, they are holding $1000 from my monthly pay check. :( I have a long term contract with client where I am currently working. I am think of H1 Transfer to other consultancy.
I want to know is this the right time to go for H1 Transfer? :confused: Are H1 Transfers getting rejected?

Govt of India will do nothing to stop harrassment of NRIs at Indian Airport (customs) and we are thinking that they will do something here.
