I filed my AP renewal online, I used my discover to pay my dues.
I did not submit any paperwork, I got an RFE just for photographs.
Most important thing for AP-renewal according to my experience is photographs.

Most of the major airlines require 15000 to 25000 miles for flying inside the continental US. Thanks for digging through the threads and making an offer. Just make sure you use your skymiles number on delta and with delta's partners. If you are going out on an international trip that will get you there faster. Their credit cards offer 20,000 bonus miles initially. check delta's and partners websites.

Increasing the H1-B limit without increasing EB-GC quota is going to make our situation much worse. People will soon have to wait for 10 years before getting GCs. :eek:

Its not fair to criticize USCIS specially just cuz you are frustrated. I believe they have lot bigger issues regarding the illegals, backlog in family-based , and not just employment-based.

Dear Friends, My sincerest hopes and prayers that EB2-I dates advance my PD is Jul 2007 and we narrowly missed the Jul 07 windfall. I hope our wait for EAD & AP ends this year!
My mind says its difficult, heart says pray for it, maybe our wishes and prayers are granted in the Oct VB. Good luck to all :)

USCIS Looks at I-94 you entered on the I-485 application.
You must enter the latest I-94 number on the I-485, which is the one you get when you enter US on Aug 15th.
That's the basis for them to track your status in US.

Mine got ordered and then got approved on back on october 1st but still I have not received it yet. We have AP but not my EAD card. Anyone in same boat?

I would suggest you talk to a good immigration attorney or post your query in "Ask the Lawyer Section".
Just some clarification....so you still have a valid H1B until 2012, I would suggest that you should apply for EAD/AP asap and start using the same rather than just depend on H1B...if that is possible.....
PS:I am not an attorney so this suggestion should not be considered legal advice...every case is different.......talk to an immigration attorney

you are dreaming about points 1 and 2 as marked in your post below. democracy is about govt by the people for the people. got nada to do with taxation. Maybe you live near washington dc and are confused with what they write there on the asses of their cars. 2. people who earn a living from your tax dollars are answerable only to constituents... and you my friend are not a constituent until you become a citizen with voting rights.

I agree with rajuram. We are all tax payers. 1. The whole concept of democracy is taxation with representation. 2. People who get paid from my tax dollars are answerable to me as much as they are to anyone else. Even when cis is not forcing me to file gc, its still equally answerable to me for my tax dollars to tell me why they are not doing their jobs properly. And for that cis owes us all apology. What's wrong with that?

What are (if any) the tax implications > if a H1b or EAD holder sells his/her house?
From what i knew there were no special "taxes" or implications... but someone (a lawyer) recently told me in addition to everything else there is a 10% tax (federal) on selling price?
Can anyone who has sold a property on h1 or EAD confirm this?
Please share first hand experience and not something that someones heard through the grapevine

My comany is filing a second LC under PERM for a substantially different job position and job location.
My first LC ( PD Oct 2004) was filed in TR. My LC is "in Process" at PBEC. No I-140 yet. I am from India
The question is: Once the PERM LC gets approved, and I140 ( second LC) approved, can the first PD ( Oct 2004) PD be retained??

After you come back, you get your extension approved. Say you go to get your visa stamped based on your extension approval: if the consular is an astute observer, the fact that you travelled while your petition is pending will become obvious, which may lead to problems. USCIS assumes that you would not be travelling but doesn't USUALLY pause to check it with you. That is the job for the consulars who give you the stamp or those at the port of entry. Most probably, you might be asked to give copies of all the past i-94. In the case of ASHISMAITY it would be interesting to know whether that person got the stamp updated. Of course, the answer is going to add to your confusion unless you ask your lawyer.

You will only be counted against the cap once unless your 6 year limit of H-1 is over and you are out of US for another year. So no problems you can file for your new H-1. Just make sure you send a copy of the old H-1 approval copy as well to prove you are already counted towards cap.

Based on Murthy.com, It's likely that EB3 World will move but India and China will remain stagnant:confused:
As most EB3 numbers go to IT software and as there are so many issues, until DOS and USCIS fix these issues they wont move these forward

I have a H1B stamp which , as I said, expires march 01/2007 .
The lawyer will fill for extension first week of september .
Maybe, the application will be pending for 1, 2 months ( is not Premium Processing ) .
During this period, can I travel outside USA ? I read some comments stating that petition will be withdrawn if I do so . Maybe is just a confusion .
It will be great to clarify this issue for me . I know you guys are professionals in immigration issues
